Carousel? Slideshow? Whatever you call it, Facebook’s new carousel feature is pretty cool. Take a look …
When I first saw it, I had no idea what it was and I got a bit irritated as my Facebook posts picked up additional photos that I did not want to display. All I could think of is, “how do I make it go away?”
Then I found out that it is a carousel! Facebook has made a way for us to display 5 photos in a rotation, with a “go ahead” arrow, all on the same Facebook post. We can write our own captions under each image and, get this, the final picture in the row is our blog’s logo and it is CLICKABLE. Yes, it clicks through to the post.
It is so simple to set up. Try it right now!
- Start a new post by pasting in the URL of your blog post ONLY. It should automatically pull a photo from your post and place a thumbnail at the bottom.
- Add up to four more photos by clicking on the gray + sign in the blank boxes to the right. Upload any photo from you computer that you’d like to.
- Change the captions by highlighting the default text and typing in what you want to say. Make it warm and casual.
- Now, go above into the post itself (where you just have a URL pasted) and add text. You can leave the post URL or remove it, your choice.
