Marry Me Chicken is an ultra-popular main dish that wins the hearts of everyone who first tastes it. Thus, the title “Marry Me” chicken! Everyone falls in love with it at first bite. ❤️

When I first tried it, I found a great recipe but it had many steps. Certainly it was well-worth the effort – the flavor was amazing – but the likelihood that I would make it often was slim-to- none.
.I love the taste but need a faster version. So, that’s what I did. I created my own. This is the trimmed-down recipe that I use every time I make Marry Me Chicken. It provides the dreamy flavor of the more complicated version but so much quicker and easier, with just 6 ingredients. I hope you like it. If you do, let me know in the comments and please spread the good news?

- Heat a non-stick skillet on medium to medium high heat.
- Place 2 T salted butter into the skillet to melt.
- Stir the butter gently with a spatula, as it melts, to keep it from burning.
- Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the skillet.

- Cook the chicken while turning each piece over occasionally, allowing the outsides of the chicken to get lightly browned.
- Remove the chicken temporarily to a plate.

Tip: Serve Marry Me Chicken along with side dishes, as desired.
Today we had it with cut broccoli on the side. Other times, I cook thin spaghetti to pile on the plate and serve with the chicken breast right on top with Marry Me Chicken sauce poured over it! Asparagus, broccoli or even a side salad are all great choices to accompany your inspiring new main dish.
Another Tip: Adjust the sundried tomatoes according to taste. It is a flavor that our family loves but, if you have tender tastebuds, you may want a bit less.
How will you know that it is done? I am one of those cooks who “flies by the seat of her pants. ” In other words, I just guess — which is not a great help to you.
So, what you can do is use a meat thermometer to test the chicken breasts as they cook.
Insert the thermometer halfway through the thickest part. You should be aiming for a minimum of 165°F.
