Love milk shakes? Been avoiding them? Me, too. I don’t want the extra calories or empty nutrition but I still LOVE milkshakes!
This strawberry banana smoothie is a delicious calcium-rich, high protein “milkshake wannabe” that takes care of it all. Make it with regular milk and sugar or specialty milks (I use soy) and the healthier low calorie sugar substitute. It totally satisfies that milkshake urge!

Tip: Pre-freeze fresh strawberries and bananas. If you cut them into pieces, it will be much easier to mix them in your blender.
Freezing Bananas: Peel the banana, cut into 1-2 inch slices, lay out on a small cookie sheet or freezer safe plate, freeze and then put into a plastic bag to store in freezer.
Freezing Strawberries: Wash, pat dry and trim off leaves. Cut in halves or quarters and freeze in the same manner as above. Store frozen berries in a plastic bag or container in the freezer.
Enjoy!
