Do you love curry? I have two amazing recipes made with curry – Chicken Divan and Curry Cheese Ball Appetizer. They are DELICIOUS. Though I have made these favorite dishes over and over again, I never realized that “curry” has in it a nutritional wonder called “Turmeric.”
Turmeric is what gives curry that familiar yellow color. On its own, Turmeric is brimming full of nutritional value for the body and the brain. But Turmeric isn’t alone. It also has a secret little treasure in it called “Curcumin.”
Curcumin packs a powerful healthy punch both as an anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant. Together, they are amazing.

The reason I am even talking about this is that I just started using a supplement which is a combination of Turmeric, Curcumin with black pepper.*
You see, I was having some aches and pains that were making it hard to sleep at night. My hips and shoulders were hurting and the over-the-counter pain med I was using [Ibuprofen] wasn’t taking care of it. Rather than upping the dosage, I wanted to try something natural. I did some research and Turmeric/Curcumin with black pepper sounded like it could be the answer. Guess what? It was! I tried it and it really works for me! No more pain at all.
*Why is black pepper in it, you ask? Simple. Curcumin is not well-absorbed by the body. Black pepper aids in absorption.
Here are some of the exciting benefits of Turmeric/Curcumin that convinced me to try it for myself…and I am so glad that I did.

Health Benefits Of Turmeric Curcumin
Anti-inflamatory – improves or even resolves joint and back pain. For many people it also relieves joint swelling associated with strenuous exercise or osteoarthritis.
Anti-oxidant – strengthens the immune system big-time.
Brain – it can clear up that mental fogginess people experience from time to time. You just feel sharper, cognitively, and it boosts memory. I have already noticed an improvement.
Diabetes – improves blood sugar metabolism.
Digestion – improves digestion and blood circulation.
Heart Disease – can reduce the risk by lowering “bad” LDL cholesterol.
Liver – may improve liver function.
Metabolism & Obesity – it balances stress hormones (cortisol) that can lead to obesity, so Turmeric/Curcumin may aid in weight loss.
Overall “Well Being” – promotes healthy joints, skin, hair, eyes, heart and mood.
Skin – can improve your complexion.
