The weather has been getting colder and colder outside recently. Keeping warm doesn’t have to be too hard, though, and can even be fun!
Wear Layers This is a common way to stay warm, but it’s always good to be reminded. A tank top or camisole under a sweater could really make a difference. Also, make sure to wear gloves. The less skin that is exposed to the cold, the better.
Have a Hot Chocolate Party Get your family all together or gather up some friends to have a little hot chocolate party to beat the cold. You could buy several different types of hot chocolate packets and buy some fun toppings, too. Whipped cream, crushed cookies, crushed peppermint candy, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles are all toppings that you could try out.
Make Some Hearty Soup Having soup for dinner can be the perfect way to beat the cold. Warm soup can be healthy, filling, and keep you warm. If you want to save a little time on dishes, you could use foam bowls for serving the soup.
Build a Fire in the Fireplace If you have a fireplace, try lighting a fire in addition to having the heat on. A wood-burning fire could help you to save money on heating your house.

Make Cookies
Baking cookies is a good cold-weather activity because not only will warm cookies straight from the oven make you feel a little warmer, but also the oven will help to heat up the house a little bit. If cookies are not your thing, then you could make a casserole or cupcakes in the oven. Disposable baking pans can help for a faster cleanup.
