Got some little mess makers in your house? I have 12 little mess makers that I clean up after all the time – and I love it!
So, have I made the World Book of Records, you ask? No. These little kiddos are only “mine” from 9:30 to 3. I am a preschool teacher and I have 12 awesome three and four year olds in my class. This year we have an even split – six boys and six girls.
Each child has such a unique personality, including how they participate in classsroom projects. Some childen are very neat and methodical. Others love things mooshy and gooshy – they are my “messers.” One of my favorite little gals is a tornado in the making. Things go flying when she is around!
And, yes, as a teacher, I do let my kids be kids. Some of the best learning takes place with messy fun. So, whenever we have a project that will put my little kiddos’ clothes in jeopardy, we put t-shirts over them as smocks. And do those smocks get messy. You can imagine!
We use lots of mediums for arts, crafts and science projects including paint, glue, glitter, playdough, shaving cream, baking soda and vinegar, And after all is said and done, somebody has to wash those t-shirts. That would be me! Good thing I found all® POWERCORE™ Pacs OXI. It does a great job getting those t-shirts clean and it is really easy to use.
I love shaving cream activities. Who knew that one of my favorites would also be the messiest! We have painted with shaving cream and we created a rain cloud with shaving cream, too. But the best shaving cream day was when they could just play with it – and, look out, did they have FUN!
This fork painting project was part of our S is for Spring lesson. My little kiddos painted tulips on paper using plastic forks. For the most part, the paint stayed where it was supposed to but, as you can see, occaisonally a sleeve would drag across the paper and into the paint. That is why I wash those t-shirt coverups every time.
O is for Ocean was such a great day. We created an entire seascape out of plastic sea toys, stones and gems. Then I gave them baking soda “rocks” with a hidden sea creature inside each one. Every child had a chance to squirt blue-tinted vinegar and water onto the rocks making an exciting fiz that melted the rock, revealing the prize inside. They played with it for over 30 minutes – and the baking soda and vinegar got all over those smocks! We bagged them and put them aside to be washed by yours truly soon as I got home.
One of the many things that I love about the all® POWERCORE™ Pacs OXI is the simplicity of the laundering process. For optimum results, be sure to follow the directions for use on the packaging exactly!
Here is how it goes:
- Kids get covered in some delightfully messy substance in art class.
- T-shirt smocks are carefully removed from each child soon as we are done.
- T-shirts go into tote bags.
- Teacher brings them home and heads straight for her laundry room.
- Open the washing machine lid.
- Distribute the dirty shirts inside.
- Set it for “full” and warm water.
- Drop in one all® POWERCORE™ OXI pac.
- Set the timer.
- Walk away.
- Come back when the machine is finished and, look! Brilliantly clean clothes!
So, when the laundry is done, I just roll up each clean t-shirt and put them in a tote to take back to school – ready for the NEXT messy project!
I purchased my 50 pac supply of all® POWERCORE™ Pacs OXI at Walmart. I love shopping there. The aisles are nice and wide and everything is so easy to find. As you can see, the all® section was on the same side of the aisle as the rest of the detergents. Easy peasy – I was in and out of the store in no time at all!
What makes this particular detergent so special? all® POWERCORE™Pacs OXI are superior to other popular pacs when it comes to both whitening and brightening clothes. When you have to clean up after 12 active preschoolers, it is so important to have the most powerful clean possible. And stains? Well, we get all kinds of spills in my classroom (especially with little “Miss Tornado”)– these pacs do an awesome job at stain removal as well!
Got kids? If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should!
