My very favorite cookies are oatmeal raising cookies. Add walnuts and it is a perfect world! This recipe is the best I’ve found. You will love it!
Classic Oatmeal Raisin Walnut Cookies
Ingredients
14 T. butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups old fashioned oats, dry
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts*
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°
Cream together butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
Combine dry ingredients – flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt – then add them to the butter mixture.
Blend well.
Blend well.
Add oats, raisins and walnuts*
Drop dough onto ungreased cookie sheets in rounded spoonfuls.
Bake 8-11 minutes
Cook 1 minute
Remove to baking rack to complete the cooling process.
Serve or store in closed container.

*Tip: if you like more walnuts in your cookies, press each rounded spoonful in chopped walnuts rather than mixing them in the dough. The dough will stick together better that way. Win-win!
