I love the creative ideas that parents come up with for holiday teacher gifts. Yesterday was our Christmas celebration at school and I received this adorable Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer DIY gift. Actually, it came from my creative teaching assistant, Zara. It is so adorable that I took notes as I deconstructed it to get to the lovely scented soap inside … and here is how you can make one of your own:
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer DIY Gift
Supplies
Brown wash cloth
Red ribbon – 22″ long
Red pom pom (nose)
Jumbo googly eyes
Rubber band
Pipe cleaners (black)
Bar of soap in a box
Glue Gun
Directions
Spread out the brown wash cloth so that a point is at the top and bottom.
Lay the boxed soap in the center.
Take the top and bottom points and meet them in the air.
Roll it over so that it meets down on the box.
Bring the ends up and wrap them in a rubber band.
Cut one of the pipe cleaners in half.
Take the three pipe cleaner pieces and bend into antlers.
Run them through the rubber band.
Using you glue gun, glue on googly eyes and the red pom pom nose.
Cover the rubber band with a pretty red ribbon and tie into a bow.
