When I saw that flip flops have their own day, I giggled!  

Yes, June 18th is National Flip Flop Day!    The article about Flip Flop Day said that their name comes from the sound they make when you walk in them. “Flip – flop. Flip flop.” I totally believe that but as a little girl we thought it was because we could flip them right off our feet at a moment’s notice.  “Look out, here they come!” Of course, our moms disapproved of that maneuver as we could not guarantee exactly where they would land!
