Have you been enjoying our visits with some of my favorite food bloggers? Well, this week’s selection is another veteran blogger, Trish, who started her blog, Mom On Timeout, in 2011!
I subscribed to Trish’s blog many years ago and continue to be a fan. Her slogan “Serving up real food for real families” truly resonates with me.
Sure, it’s fun to go to a fancy restaurant and experience exotic dishes that take hours, and a team, to make but when it comes to my own cooking, I prefer “simple, yet delicious.” You know, the type of meals that your family begs you to make again and again and, since they are so easy to make, you willingly comply! 😊
Two Great Recipes from Trish’s Blog
I want to show you two recipes this week from her blog that will give you a little idea of what you will find when you go there. The pictures are AMAZING!
They are Trish’s Olive Garden inspired “BEST Zuppa Toscana” – a creamy, hearty soup – and her “4-ingredient Almond Joy Cookies.” Each image is linked directly to her blog where you can easily get the recipe.
Friendly Tip: be sure to pin the recipes so you can easily find them again!

BEST Zuppa Toscana Soup Recipe
This is a creamy soup filled with bacon, sausage, potato and kale. It is a quick and easy one-pot “copy cat” recipe inspired by Olivia Garden. From what I read in the comments, enthusiasts of her recipe declare they like it BETTER than the original! 🤫 Shhh. Don’t tell Olive Garden!

4-Ingredient Almond Joy Cookies
Do you like Almond Joys? I sure do! I am amazed that these yummy cookies take just 17 minutes to make from the time you pull out the ingredients until they are on the plate, ready to eat! So simple!
