Coloring Easter eggs is a traditional family activity but let’s not reserve it for just once a year. I hard boiled eggs and dyed them for a children’s party. Colored eggs are even a nice little surprise for a special lunch. Peel and eat!

I love to “double-dye” them. Simply put, you just hold the egg in the dish, half-way and then flip it over to put dip it in a different color. What do you think?

How To Prepare the Dye For Coloring Eggs
Boil water
Add about ½ cup boiling water to each bowl
Add 1 tsp. vinegar to each bowl
Add 10 – 20 drops of food coloring to each bowl – a different color per bowl
Lay a hard boiled egg in the bowl for up to 5 minutes if you are going to have it all one color. If the liquid does not quite cover it all, gently turn it using a spoon so that it colors evenly.
Remove and lay out on a paper towel to dry.
