Getting tired of “same-old, same old?” I was. My go-to biscuits for beef stew were plain biscuits served with butter and jam. I’d pop open a can of Hungry Jacks, pop them in the oven and in minutes we had BISCUITS.
Frankly, I had run out of them and needed something quick. Bisquick came to mind. Why not? You can make anything with Bisquick! So, I tried the basic cheddar biscuits with garlic butter. These cheddar biscuits are simple to make and are a very nice change of pace. No more “same-old, same-old!”
Recipe from Betty Crocker
2 cups Original Bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 T butter (melted)
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 450º
Blend together first three ingredients: baking mix, milk and cheese.
Drop the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet in 9 spoonfuls.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
Melt butter in the microwave.
Add garlic powder to the melted butter and spread on (or gently spoon on) top of each biscuit.
