The summer is just whizzing by and back-to-school time is almost upon us. Wow! How ready will your child be right “out of the gate?” School is like an athletic competition and your child is competing against himself. Will he be his “best self” this year? He can be. Let’s get enthused about learning. This years Olympic Games are a great way to do it. Watch every competitor in the Olympic Games. They are in it to win it. They are champions! Our kids can be the same way in school. Now is the time to get ready.
As we focus on the “best-of-the-best” athletes from the four corners of the earth, we witness the fruit of their deepest determination and drive. The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro provide a wealth of incentive to all of us to be champions in the various parts our lives.
Reading is foundational to success, I’m sure you’ll agree. That is why I am so excited about the Start School Like A Champion FREE books program. Parents, grandparents, teachers, friends – everyone – can further our childrens’ learning by earning FREE SCHOLASTIC BOOKS right now. As we buy great food products at Walmart, we earn free books!
Now, I am a grandma and also a preschool teacher. So this is what I am going to do. First, I am telling everybody about this program. Next, I am going to share the wealth. I am donating food items I bought at Walmart and the free books I earned from buying them to my classroom and my family. Hubby wants the Eggos! LOL Sorry kids. So I made these festive Olympic Games-inspired gift bags to deliver them. ♥ [Instructions for making them plus free printables below.]

*The participating HERSHEY’S Kisses and REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups were on their own free-standing display near the cash registers at the front of my Walmart store.
