This week’s features on Happiness is Homemade have a bit of an Irish flair in honor of St. Patrick’s Day next week. No corned beef and cabbage or green dyed beer, but some fun projects and recipes as well as a great furniture makeover.
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!-Irish Blessing
Have a great week,
~Audrey from That Recipe
Colleen from My Life on Kaydeross Creek turned a beat up thrift store find into this beautiful piece of furniture.
I absolutely adore this tiny framed shamrock from Celebrating Everyday Life. Great for St. Patrick’s Day, but it would also be a fun little treasure for a child going off to college, someone starting a new job, or anyone that needs a little luck.
Linda from a Labour of Life shows you how to fold Shamrock napkins for a festive table. She makes it look so easy I think I could even duplicate it.
If you want a traditional Irish meal (as opposed to the Irish American Corned Beef) try this Shepherd’s Pie from Comfort Spring Station. If you make lamb for Easter, be sure to save this recipe to make with the leftovers.
Keep you green beer and Irish whiskey shots, I want one of these Mint Irish Iced Coffee Cocktails from Home Cooking Memories. Maybe more than one.
