Happiness Is Homemade Link Party

June 20, 2021 2 Comments

Welcome to the Happiness Is Homemade Link Party!

It is strawberry time and we are headed out to a u-pick field tomorrow.  I’m telling you, there is nothing like fresh picked produce!

Also happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there – your special day is much deserved.
No one can fix broken toys like you can, keep a pristine lawn or grill the perfect steak like you!

We had another great link party last week with lots to choose from, but I was able to narrow it down to my top five, scroll down to check them out!

This Week’s Features

Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler
Tracey from The Kitchen is My Playground has given us another hit recipe – you knew I had to feature something with strawberries!  Try her recipe for Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler for a fun twist on a classic dessert!

Balloon Festivals in the United States

We have a local balloon festival every Labor Day weekend so I know how exciting it can be to watch them all take off!  Check out this handy list of Ballon Festivals in the United States and see if one is taking place near you!

Creamy Cucumber Salad Recipe

I love keeping hot weather recipes at the ready for the summer months, and this Creamy Cucumber Salad Recipe is a family favorite.  Not to mention a great way to use all those cucumbers growing in the garden!

Faux Cast Iron Candlestick DIY

I am always looking for new decorating inspiration, especially those that are easy and inexpensive.  I love the look of these Faux Cast Iron Candlesticks  from MaryJo at Master “Pieces” of My Life – very clever and authentic looking!

*BONUS FEATURE*
Easy Patriotic Dessert Marshmallow Pops
My boys really love marshmallows, but can they really eat a whole bag?  Lol dumb question of course they can (gag!).  However I feel like this recipe for Patriotic Marshmallow Pops takes the simple old fashioned treat to a new level!
