Happiness Is Homemade

Welcome to our weekly Happiness is Homemade Link Party where bloggers come together to share their latest and their greatest posts with you. Every week you will discover a delightful assortment of creative ideas that you will love! At our party you will find the best recipes, crafts, do-it-yourself projects, home décor ideas, fashions and family fun.

Hey all, It’s Linda from A Labour of Life and it’s my Turn to browse through and pick my favorites. August is all about end of summer fun, back to school planning and yes summer relaxation.

Thank you so much for coming by this week for our party. We can hardly wait to find out what you have come by to share with us this week but, first, let’s take a look at our features from last week’s party!

Fun Features from last week’s Happiness Is Homemade Link Party

My first feature will surprise no-one, lol. Yep a fun tablescape from Whispers of the Heart A very unusual and unique table caught my eye this week, and it set the tone for all my picks. Bright and fun. I love that Beth stated This theme was not on my list of Summer tablescapes to do this year but as often happens, when I saw these small melamine appetizer plates at World Market online a couple months ago, I knew they could make a cute tablescape.

Keeping with the bright and colourful theme how fun and tasty is this Chacuterie Board from Wanderlust and Wellness? Enjoy the final tastes of summer with this Labor Day Charcuterie Board. This graze board captures the final sweet flavors of summer with cherries, peaches, cantaloupe, and salty charcuterie meats

With its signature layered sunrise effect, a Limoncello Sunrise is one strikingly beautiful and tasty cocktail treat. How could I resist this tasty looking cocktail from The Kitchen is my Playground.

Tracey summed it up perfectly. “there’s nothing like sipping on a cold shot of Limoncello, straight-up and chilled from the refrigerator. It’s like drinking an intensely grown-up version of homemade lemonade. But with a kick. And when you take that intense Limoncello lemon flavor and turn it into a sunrise cocktail? You get one strikingly beautiful and wonderfully delicious cocktail treat.”

Sticking to my apparent bright and colorful theme this week, next up is is a tasty Roasted Red Pepper Hummus from Comfort Springs. This recipe is simple to make and with hummus that’s so much better than store-bought. You can use a jar of roasted peppers from the store or, if you desire, you can make your own.

The charcuterie board and the sunrise cocktail both look amazing! Thanks for hosting us again! I brought by some Asian Avocado Dip. It’s a great way to enjoy fresh veggies. 🙂
