Welcome to our Happiness is Homemade weekly link party, hosted on six popular blogs.
This is Niki from over at Life as a LEO Wife, back again this week to choose the features for the month of February. I always have a difficult time choosing from all of the great posts that all of you share here on the party. Keep those spring and St. Patrick’s Day ideas coming!
Mardi Gras is Tuesday, and no matter where you live you need a king cake to celebrate! This recipe from Cindy’s Online Recipe Box looks delicious, and you can make either a cinnamon king cake or a cherry cheese one with it. My favorite is the cream cheese filling, but luckily, I can run out and get one from local stores who get them from this delicious place in our area because I am not a talented baker!
With Valentine’s Day behind us, it’s time to move on to St. Patrick’s Day and spring decor. Mary Jo over at Master”pieces” of My Life has a ton of great ideas to help you incorporate green decor into your home for St. Patrick’s Day, including beautiful tablescapes, vignettes, and DIY decorations.
The ladies over at Building Our Hive made this adorable fabric banner for St. Patrick’s Day. It looks so easy to put together. If you’re not a sewer, you could use fabric glue or even hot glue.
Beth from Creatively Beth made this adorable pot of gold under a rainbow using Dollar Tree cauldrons. They would make adorable little gifts for your child’s classroom this St. Patrick’s Day.
Speaking of classrooms, Julie from Sum of Their Stories made an adorable crocheted pencil case using granny squares. I have a ton of granny squares I made back in my teen years that would be great for this. The squares are quick and easy to make so they’re perfect for new crocheters.
