We are so excited – waiting, waiting, ugh, WAITING for our little boy baby to arrive. Yes, my greatgrandboy is on his way, at his own sweet time. “Due” 4 days ago but all is well. He’s just not in a hurry!  His mommy is a veteran at this. They have three lovely little girls. But this is the first boy and everyone is filled with anticipation awaiting his arrival.

His parents, of course, will be his first hug. The voices that he has heard for months will now have faces to go with them. And each little girl, his big sisters, will have their turn holding their new little brother. But after that, how about a #SecondHug? He needs the softest, comfiest diapers to keep him clean and dry. Baby gift baskets can come in lots of forms and styles. I love wicker so this white basket was perfect. It has handles, too, making it easy to move from place to place. I bought some new blue and white pillow cases to make the drawstring bags – three of them.

The top border of the pillow case was a natural channel for the ribbon, thus simplifying the sewing project. After they were made, I simply had to fill them with goodies! I put diapers, baby wipes, pacifier, bib, receiving blanket and small trash bag in each one. Of course, the basket also has a teddy bear stuffed toy and a little kid story book. What else would you put in there?
