CHILDREN’S INDOOR TRAMPOLINE: Why You Should Get One For Your Little Ones

Are you wracking your brain for a unique gift for your kids? There are so many possibilities; getting something special can be overwhelming.  Have you ever considered a  children’s indoor trampoline? It could be one of the best gifts your child will ever get. Trampolines are so much fun and they keep your kids moving!

Trampolines for kids

First, let’s take a look at the basics of a trampoline and its many features.

WHAT IS A TRAMPOLINE?

A trampoline is primarily used for bouncing, of course. The activity is called trampolining, jumping, bouncing, or rebounding. And the users who play are named “jumpers.” The basic components of a mini indoor trampoline are mat, frame, legs, springs or spring-less rods, handle, enclosure net, etc.

Trampolining is a fun part of childhood that can be a wondrous world for your children. This helps your kids to grow better as well. Jumping on a trampoline has plenty of physical and mental benefits for children and adults. Adults use trampolines for fitness purposes whereas kids’ main purpose is to get entertained.

Here are 7 top distinctive features of indoor trampoline that make it a better choice over other toys.

1.    TRAMPOLINE IS FUN FOR ALL AGES KIDS

Childhood is the time of playing and making fun. Whatever kids do, they want fun everywhere. With a quality indoor trampoline, your kids will get great amount of fun. The repetitive cushion touches fill up their heart with joys.

Trampolining makes kids laugh and happy all the time. Several trampolines also offer FlashZone features that shine when kids hit the zone, this is also great. You can also add some ball pit for more fun.

2.    THIS IS SAFE TOY

Every parent wants to choose safe toys for kids. Luckily, indoor trampolines pass this test successfully. And you can check the best ones suggested by Simple Trampoline.

Typically, children’s average weight is not more than 60 pounds. But, indoor trampolines are designed with a safe weight margin. Most of them can withstand more than 100 pounds of weight that’s much more than average kids’ weights.

Height is another issue that can cause accidents. But this is a low-height toy. If kids accidentally fall on the ground, nothing serious will happen. However, there are handles to hold while playing. The soft padding reduces being hurt if kids fall over the trampoline.

Several trampolines also come with an enclosure net for extra safety. If no, you can attach one for ensuring no falling off. Moreover, parents can supervise their children while doing their household works keeping kids inside the trampoline.

3.    EXER-LEARNING TOY

Children love playing and don’t show enough interest in text learning. If this is the case for your kids, the trampoline has a great solution.

Trampoline is an Exer-Learning playing toy that combines exercise with learning. Kids’ trampolines come with different printed letters, patterns, colors, numbers, animals, and many more interactive things. While playing on the trampoline, children can grasp these lessons intuitively.

Numerous models of indoor trampolines for kids include interactive games to make children curious about education. In this way, trampolining makes kids active whilst reducing screen time.

4.    LOTS OF FITNESS & HEALTH BENEFITS

Children’s motor skills and coordination develop naturally. But many kids suffer from late development for both of these skills. But, regular playing on the trampoline increases coordination and motor skills. This also improves kids’ posture so they can do works without getting tired.

Trampolining is a low impact exercise that burns lots of extra energy without impacting jumpers’ joints that enhances flexibility and Gross Motor Skills. This is a great way to improves arms, legs muscles, and back muscles.

Jumping on a trampoline increases blood circulation, strengthens bone density, increases cardiovascular fitness, improves the sensory system and vestibular system, etc. The repetitive bouncing enhances metabolism so kids’ development goes faster.

Another important reason why you should gift an indoor trampoline to your beloved kids is that it enhances their self-esteem and happiness. Exercising improves mental stresses and reduces one’s stress level that improves overall mental health.

Trampolining helps to sleep better and works as a mood changer. It also develops children’s social skills like respecting others, cooperation, following directions, being patient that helps them to be better human beings.

6.    TRAMPOLINE IS PERFECT FOR ALL TIME USE

The indoor trampoline allows use throughout the year either winter, spring, autumn, or summer that makes the trampoline superior to many other toys. There is no need for batteries, cables, or any other external things. So this is always ready to jump. Kids can jump there whether morning or evening.

This trampoline can be set up or put down easily. You can hide it in a compact area after playing. If needed, you can also carry it in a small bag on your travel trip. These small-sized trampolines allow you to set it up anywhere you want.

Kids’ indoor trampoline is an inexpensive toy that most parents can afford. Most of them are found under hundred bucks. But there are some high-priced models with more features than the lower-cost items. However, the usual ones are quite good for kids’ entertainment.

Little girls ages 5-7 years now have entry-level American Girl dolls – WellieWishers – that are a fraction of the price, just as adorable and a tiny bit shorter…

Do you have an American Girl Doll enthusiast in your family? I do! Kenzie has been collecting them for at least seven years.  She is a young teenager, now, and still loves them. She has gone from playing with them to being a true collector.

If you are curious or in a hurry, just go here right now to see ☑️the American Girl WellieWishers™ Collection on Amazon.

Not everyone wants to take the big leap, when it comes to buying an American Girl doll for a young child. The $150+ investment may seem to be a bit steep for a gift for a  five year old. What if she doesn’t like her? What if she plays a bit too rough or decides to give it a finger-paint shampoo?

American Girl designed their original lines of dolls with little girls ages 8 and older in mind. They often come with their own storybook which places the doll in some interesting time of America’s past. When you give an American Girl as a gift it is more than a doll – it is a trip through history. That is what Kenzie especially loves about hers. She can dress and accessorize them and dream of the times they lived in.

So, what about the younger set? Little girls ages 5-7 years now have entry-level American Girl dolls – WellieWishers – that are a fraction of the price, just as adorable and a tiny bit shorter. Instead of the traditional 18 inches, WellieWishers dolls are 14.5″

There are five of them, each just as lovely as the next.  They come with their own names, personalities & preferences and you can buy a storybook about her (comes separately) too. Best yet, they are available from Amazon!

The 5 American Girl WellieWishers™ Dolls

Camille™: She is a mellow soul who loves the ocean.

Emerson™: This little gal was made for the spotlight!

Kendall™: Kendall is super creative. She loves to draw and invent!

Ashlyn™: This little one is a “princess in training” and she loves to throw parties, too

Willa™: Willa loves animals the most!

7 Best Accessories For Those Who Write All Day Long

Do you know someone who sits at a computer all day long?  Maybe it is you!  Perhaps you are a blogger or maybe you are a virtual assistant, freelance writer, or a graphic designer. There are so many careers that require sitting at a computer, either at the office or working from home. For sure, writers sit at their computers for many hours at a time.

Great gifts for people who write all day long #tips #giftideas

Working from home can be a dream come true but any profession that requires sitting for 8 to 10 to 12 hours a day, or more, has its health hazards.  Sitting in one position for too long is a strain on your frame. It cuts the circulation.  If you work long hours at a computer, you need a strategy for getting up and changing your position regularly.

Best Accessories For Writers

As a blogger, I sometimes work at a desk, sometimes at the kitchen counter or at a table outdoors on the deck. Then, in the evening, I move to the family room where I can work on my laptop so that the whole family can be together. Those evening hours are often used to schedule social media shares. It is less work but, again, I am sitting! It has been recognized that standing, while you are working at a computer, is an excellent alternative. You can stand some of the day and sit at other times.

So here are some gadgets that I found to help minimize the toll that a writing career can take on you. These accessories can make a world of difference to your overall health and vitality…

7 Best Accessories To Help Those Who Work At Computers All Day Long

Standing Desk – neither sitting nor standing for hours on end is good. The healthy trend is to include adjustable standing desks in the office and at home. My brother purchased one for each of the designers in his company, so I have seen them in action. They can be installed right on your existing desk. It is a breeze to adjust the height so that you can stand for a while and then sit down again. What a great invention!

Anti Fatigue Standing Mat – whether you have decided to step into “standing desk world” – or are doing what I do which is to clear a section of the kitchen counter where I set up my laptop – you need to cushion those feet! My kids bought me a pad to stand on in my kitchen and it really reduces the shock to my hips, knees, ankles and feet. I always use it when I write at the counter. I also use it when I am standing at the counter to cook. (Note: wearing great athletic shoes and socks helps, too. Wear anything that can provide comfort, support and reduce shock.)

Ergonomic Mouse – they are scientifically designed mouses (mice?) that allow for easy motion and reduced stress.

Laptop Pad – for those who like to work while sitting on the sofa or lounging in bed, a laptop pad or couch table is a great help. Laptop pads shield your legs from the heat of the laptop, are anti-slip and many styles include a mouse pad tray. I just bought the Max Smart Laptop Pad after a couple of silly years of using a cardboard beverage tray from the local fast food restaurant to keep the laptop off of my lap. Oh my goodness, what a joy to have this pad!

Office Foot Rest – Take some of the strain off your hips and legs by using an ergonomic foot rest while you sit at your desk.

Keyboard and Mouse Wrist Rests – prevent fatigue and damage to your hands, wrists and arms as you work long hours at the computer by using specially designed rests. They are not expensive, as things go, and the benefits will save you a world of hurt

Comfortable Desk Chair – if your desk chair is uncomfortable, it is time to invest in a new one. There are many ergonomic designs. I was fortunate enough to try a new chair at the design company where I work that is perfect for me. Though this chair was not described as “ergonomic,”  I can sit at my desk for hours and feel great.

So I bought one for my home office=>☑️ see my FAVORITE desk chair ever!

How To Pick Items For Your Wedding Gift Registry

How to pick gifts for your wedding registry #weddings

This blog contains affiliate links. ♥

So, you are engaged to be married! Congratulations! What an exciting time of your life. There is so much to do to prepare for the big day. While you are making your to-do lists, remember that in addition to planning the wedding ceremony, wedding reception and honeymoon, there will be wedding gifts to be considered. Setting up an Amazon wedding gift registry and other registries that you may be interested in should be near the top of that list.

Your family and friends will give you gifts. Everyone wants to get you something really special but they have no idea what you and your fiance want or need. Setting up a wedding registry is the best way to help them out.  It may seem a little soon – after all, you just got engaged – but this is the one thing the two of you can do far in advance that takes no more than surfing the internet. So why not get started!

Most stores offer wedding registries. The most complete and convenient one is the Amazon Wedding Registry. Almost everyone shops Amazon and many people are Amazon Prime members.  Amazon lovers will be thrilled to see that you have set up a registry with them. Other popular stores like Target, Bed Bath and Beyond and Pier 1 also have registries. Pier 1 has a great Wedding Registry Checklist that anyone can use to help you think it through and make a plan! Just be sure to include a local store or two for guests who prefer to shop in-store!

How To Pick Items For Your Wedding Gift Registry

When? Set up and complete your wedding registries soon as possible.

What? This is all about the two of you! Select everything you want but do give your friends a lot of choices. You and your honey should work on this project together and have fun. You can window-shop online and also go visit some stores.

If your home together will be the first time you have lived on your own, you will need everything from measuring spoons for the kitchen to a new bed! If either of you have lived on your own for a while, you will have to decide what will come with you and what you would like to replace. Whatever your situation, enjoy learning each other’s tastes and do your best to select items you will both love.

Tip:  choose a few items that can be cherished as keepsakes for years to come. Perhaps you would like a Waterford crystal mantel clock, a wedding album, special artwork or a Family Bible.

Where? Mix it up. Select a couple of convenient online venues, including the Amazon Wedding Registry, and then add a store or two where your guests can shop in person or online.

Tip: when selecting stores, for your own sake look into their return policies. How easy is it for you to return a gift if you need to? If they require a receipt, you may want to skip that store and pick someone else.

Price? Do a little bit of everything. Some people will want to go all out – extravagant is just what they are looking for. Others may not be able to afford higher prices but they still want to give you something you will like. So, go high, middle and a few low, too.

Tip: you may love surprises but discovering that the registry isn’t tracking purchases correctly is not one of them. Check your registries regularly. If you see something seems to be wrong, contact them for help. Monitoring you registries will minimize receiving duplicates and triplicates of the same gift later on.

Tip: also, do not select the same item for each registry or you may very well get more than one.

Announcements – send out “Save the Date” engagement announcements. As people start to congratulate you, some early birds may ask you if you are registered yet and where. Be ready so that you can tell them!

Preparing for the Rest of the School Year

Have you noticed that, as soon as children return to school following winter break, the speed of time increases exponentially? One blink and it’s summer vacation!

gift ideas, teacher gifts, Teacher Appreciation Day

This two-part post is created to help you get a handle on the remainder of the school year.  Grab your yearly calendar, a copy of your child’s school calendar and your personal planner.  Start marking down key dates that need to be remembered. Number one?  Teacher Appreciation Day.

teacher appreciation gifts

National Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday May 3rd.  This is one of those celebrations that can get lost in the mix.  Easter, Mother’s Day, weddings and graduations all take center stage in the spring.  Teacher Appreciation can get overlooked – or becomes a last minute “throw it together” thing – but we don’t mean for it to be an after thought. To avoid that, write it down on your to-do-list today.

How to bless a teacher…

  • Send a thank you note
  • Give flowers
  • Buy them a gift card to
    • Dunkin’ Donuts / Starbucks
    • Amazon
    • the movies
    • restaurant
    • craft stores
    • department stores

Note: Teachers who have been teachers very long have lots of coffee mugs, which they love, but they do have a lot of them.  Try something different?

Teacher Appreciation Day is the first Tuesday in May!
