How are you about snow? Living in the northeast, we have accepted it as a way of life but there comes a time when enough is enough. I’ll get to that place, eventually, but I have to say that I am kind of excited for a gorgeous (safe) blanket of snow coming overnight. In fact, this year I was so late getting my Christmas decorations up that I have a fully decorated tree for the occasion!
QUESTION OF THE DAY: when is it too long for a Christmas tree to still be up?
ANSWER: When you have to dust it for cobwebs!!! I

Do you have a favorite vacuum cleaner that you can’t do without?
Took me a long time to find mine. Before that wonderful day, my vacuums were a source of frustration and disappointment. Then my sister-in-law loaned me her new vacuum and I was in love! That was 8 years ago and I still love it as much as I did then. Quick Read=> why I still love my pet hair vacuum! Or just go see it (the newer version) here, with lights!(I’d have this new one myself but my original is so great that it still cleans like it’s brand new! I’m devoted to it.)

It’s crazy, September use to signal the end of the season but the last several years it has been a bit on the drier side and very warm, so beautiful as we begin to welcome fall. One of my favorite things to do is simmer a nice simmer pot and make the house smell amazing. This one reminds me of coffee cake or like you are sitting in a cozy coffee house with Rory Gilmore in your favorite cable knit sweater.
A Day of Small Things has incorporated Back to School into her Fall decor and I love it. You can feel fall creeping in around the edges and my back to school decor always sets the tone beautifully.
