Marble Brownies [also known as Cheesecake Brownies] have always been a favorite easy-to-make dessert in our household.  This recipe satisfies two sweet-cravings all at the same time -cheesecake and chocolate!

There are quite a few recipes out there for “marble brownies,” also called “cheesecake brownies” but this Duncan Hines version– straight from their website and brownie mix boxes– is one that I prefer.
Any of the Duncan Hines brownie mixes work fine in this recipe.

 .

Marble Cheesecake Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg Duncan Hines® Brownie Mix [any kind] – made according to directions on the box
PLUS these ingredients for the cheesecake “filling.”
6 oz cream cheese, softened
6 tbsp butter or margarine, softened
6 tbsp granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 ºF.
  • Grease bottom of 8×8-inch pan.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth in medium mixing bowl. Stir in sugar, egg, flour and vanilla. Beat until smooth; set aside.
  • Prepare brownie mix according to package the directions for cake-like brownies.
  • Spread half of brownie batter in prepared pan. Spoon cream cheese mixture over batter.
  • Spoon dollops of remaining brownie batter over top.
  • Swirl brownie and cream cheese batter together with a knife or spatula.
  • Bake at 350 ºF for 36 to 39 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Chill 2 hours.

Easiest creamiest cheesecake recipe

Are you a cheesecake lover?  Me, too!  I love it so much, I could eat it for breakfast.  Come to think of it, I think I have eaten it for breakfast! LOL  My favorite kind of cheesecake is New York Style. When it comes to baking one, though, I am not fond of baking with a springform pan. It is more work than I want to put in. That is why I was thrilled to find this easy, creamy cheesecake recipe!

It has all of the elements and flavor of a creamy New York Style cheesecake with its buttery homemade graham cracker crust, with simpler cleanup because it calls for a glass pie plate*  instead of a springform pan.  This recipe is a winner all the way around!

*Metal pie pans work fine, as well.

Easiest Creamiest Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients

Graham Cracker Crust

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/3 cup granulated sugar

5 T. melted butter

Filling

32 oz. [i.e. 4 8oz bricks] cream cheese, room temperature

1 cup full-fat sour cream

4 large eggs, room temperature

1 cup sugar

2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven 325°

CRUST

Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter for crust.

Press crust into a 9 1/2“ pie pan.

BAKE the crust for 10 minutes and then remove from oven.* Allow to cool as you make the filling.

*NOTE:  I have made this recipe twice.  One time I forgot to prebake the crust before adding the filling. Though it was OK, the crust did not hold together as well as it would have had I remembered.  I won’t forget the next time!

FILLING

Using an electric mixer, blend the softened cream cheese with sugar, sour cream and vanilla extract until smooth.

Lightly beat the 4 eggs in a small bowl. Add them to the cream cheese mixture. Mix it all on low speed until it is combined.  Do not over beat.

Pour the filling into the cooled pie crust.

Bake for 325° for 1 hour.

Turn the oven OFF and leave the cheesecake in the oven for another hour.

Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.

Refrigerate for another 5 hours before serving.

GARNISH

Put your favorite toppings on each slice.  We like using cherry pie filling and whipped cream.

I first had this chocolate marble cheesecake at my cousin Andrea’s house. We were expecting our babies 6 months apart and got together to share the fun of the experience. Andrea is a really great cook and this cheesecake was the dessert she served. I’d never had anything like it and secretly wished I could get a second piece…or maybe even walk off with the whole thing.

Chocolate Marble Cheesecake

Serves 1-8, depending on whether you want to share!

Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
3 pkgs (8 oz) cream cheese — softened
5 large eggs
1 T vanilla
1 T lemon juice
4 oz. Baker’s™  sweet German chocolate

Directions
  • Blend cream cheese with sugar, using an electric mixer.
  • Add all 5 eggs, blending in one at a time.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Fold 2 cups of the mixture into the chocolate.
  • Add lemon juice to the remainder.
  • Grease a 9-10 inch spring-form pan with real butter.
  • Pour the mixture with the lemon into the pan.
  • Add the chocolate batter to the center. Marble slightly, using a knife.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 50-60 minutes till set.
  • Cool.
  • Serve with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
  • Refrigerate the rest.

Chocolate Layered Mousse Cheesecake Pie

Ingredients

Crust
9 oz pkg chocolate wafers
2 T granulated sugar
4 T. butter, melted
Cheesecake Layer
1 pkg cream cheese, softened
½ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
Mousse Layer
1 cup heavy cream, divided
2 egg yolks
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
¼ cup confectioners sugar (optional)
Ganache Layer
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
4 T. butter
¼ heavy cream
½ tsp. Vanilla
1 T. confectioners sugar

Directions

First make the CRUST

Preheat oven to 350°
Finely chop the chocolate wafer cookies in a blender.
Pour them into a mixing bowl.
Add sugar.
Mix through.
Pour in melted butter.
Stir well.
Pour into pie pan and pat in around bottom and edges.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven – refrigerate while you make the filling.

Reduce oven temperature to 325°

Cheesecake Layer

Blend together the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar till smooth, using a handheld electric mixer.
Add in egg and egg yolk plus vanilla – mix till combined.
Blend in sour cream.
Spread this cheesecake filling over the cookie crust and bake for 40-45 minutes till edges are set.   The center should be slightly firm.
Remove pie from oven and cool completely.

Chocolate Mousse Layer

Heat ½ cup cream in small pan till simmering.
Put egg yolks in small bowl.
Whisk rapidly, pouring in 2 T of the hot cream into the yolks.
Continue to whisk till they are combined.
Pour the egg yolk mixture into the saucepan containing hot cream, whisking quickly.
Turn the saucepan to medium-low heat, stirring constantly till the cream & egg mixture bubbles and thickens. Takes about 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in chocolate chips, stirring till smooth and the chips are melted.
If sweeter taste is desired, add optional confectioners sugar at this time.
Cool the mixture to room temperature. (You will want to occasionally stir to prevent skin from forming.)
When the mixture is completely cool, beat the remaining ½ cup cream to stiff peaks and gently fold into chocolate mixture.
Spread the mousse onto the cheesecake layer and refrigerate.

Ganache Topping

As the pie chills in the refrigerator, make the ganache.
Combine butter and heavy cream in a saucepan on medium heat until the butter is melted and mixture simmers.
Put the chocolate chips in a small bowl.
Pour the hot cream mixture over the chocolate and stir until glossy and smooth.
Stir in vanilla and confectioners sugar.
Spread ganache over the mousse layer.

Refrigerate the pie for at least one hour, until ready to serve.

Pecan Pie Cheesecake? Have you ever had two utmost favorite desserts and, to your delight, found them together? Well, my dream came true when I discovered this marriage between pecan pie (which I love!) and my other favorite, cheesecake! It doesn’t get any better than this. Wow!

Pecan Pie Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients

1 refrigerated pie crust

1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened

4 large eggs

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cup chopped pecans

1 cup light corn syrup


Directions

Preheat oven 350°

Place pie crust in the pie pan.

Using a medium sized mixing bowl, combine 1 egg, cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp. Vanilla and ¼ tsp. salt. Beat them together with electric mixer till smooth.

Pour the cream cheese mixture into the pie crust lined pan.

Cover the top of the cream cheese mixture with the chopped pecans.

In another mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup light corn syrup, 3 eggs, ¼ cup sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla extract. Pour onto the pie and place the pie on a baking sheet.

Bake on the lowest rack in the oven until set [approximately 50 minutes.]

Before serving, cool on a cooling rack for at least an hour or refrigerate it for later.

Serve with whipped cream.

Dreamy Creamy Low-Carb Cheesecake You Will Love … in a mug!

Whenever I want to lose weight, I gravitate to low-carb diets. They work best for me but, even so, I have had a tough time sticking with them. When I finally came across Trim Healthy Mama, I was amazed! There was actually a way to enjoy pretty much EVERY food (except refined sugar) and lose weight? I wanted to know more. As I started to try the recipes, I found that they taste really good. Having all the delicious foods I love – especially desserts -was a game-changer for me!

So, using the principles I am learning from THM, I put together this cheesecake as an experiment. Could I come up with something that would be a lot like the New York Style cheesecake that I adore?  I followed the guidelines for what is called an “S meal” on the plan. The recipe fits very well for pretty much any low carb plan.  If you are a cheesecake lover, I think you will be very pleasantly surprised!

Dreamy Low Carb Cheesecake In A Mug

A THM S dish

Ingredients

2 T cream cheese, softened
1 T sour cream
1 egg
1/2 T. THM Baking Blend
1 packet Truvia natural sweetener
Vanilla Sweetleaf Sweet Drops liquid Stevia* – optional
Tiny sprinkle of fine Himalayan pink salt
1 T chopped walnuts – optional
1 “blop” aerisol whipped topping – optional
1 tsp. butter – to grease the mug

Directions

Grease a microwavable mug using butter.
Using a fork, blend all other ingredients together until smooth-ish –there will be some little lumps from the cream cheese.
Pour the batter into the mug
Microwave on high 30 seconds.
Add walnuts on top.
Microwave another 35 seconds.
Refrigerate till cool.
Top with whipped cream.
Enjoy!

Cheesecake brownies are a favorite easy-to-make dessert in our household. It satisfies two sweet-cravings at the same time: cheesecake and chocolate! Does it get any better than that?

Whether you call them “marble brownies” or “cheesecake brownies,” this delicious dessert is perfect for bringing to a potluck supper, as the dessert for a dinner party or an after school snack. It is perfect anywhere, anytime! Got a junior chef in your house? This is a great starter recipe that they will love to make.


 

Cheesecake Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
1 pkg fudge brownie mix
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 350 ºF. Grease bottom of 8×8-inch pan.
  • Beat cream cheese and sugar. Stir in egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth; set aside.
  • Prepare brownie mix according to package directions for cake-like brownies.
  • Spread brownie batter in prepared pan. Spoon cream cheese mixture in dollops over batter.
  • Swirl brownie and cream cheese batter together with a knife or spatula making a marble effect.
  • Bake at 350 ºF for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Chill 2 hours.
